Happy Friday!
This week, at its 2022 Partner Summit event, Snap disclosed lots of exciting news and upcoming innovations that pave the way forward for its mission to reinvent the camera. The Snapchat social media platform has 332M daily active users, and since January 2021, more than 250 million Snapchat users have engaged with AR shopping lenses more than 5 billion times! 🤯 So it's no surprise that it wants to further enhance its AR capabilities.
Here are some of the announcements from the summit:
A multi-year partnership with Live Nation that will elevate the concert experience! Fans can use Snapchat Camera at select Live Nation concerts for an AR experience to try on merchandise, discover exclusive landmarks, and locate their fellow concert-going friends.
A flying camera Pixy, promises to reinvent how people take selfies! Pixy is described as a pocket-sized, free-flying sidekick that automatically captures pictures and videos wirelessly transferred and saved into Snapchat Memories.
A destination on the Snapchat app called Dress Up, which brings together AR fashion and try-on from creators, retailers and fashion brands.
And a Camera Kit for AR Shopping which brings Snap's try-on lenses into brands' websites and retailer apps to enhance the digital shopping experience for their customers. Brands can integrate these tools into their apps for free.
