Happy Friday!
Not too long ago on Rerun, we discussed Spotify's battle to unseat Apple, and its plan to dominate the live audio conversation market. Earlier this week, the music streaming giant dropped the news that it has acquired audiobook creation and distribution company Findaway. Now with music, podcasts, and audiobooks all in one place, Spotify is one step closer to becoming the premium destination for your ears.
Also this week, Netflix made a surprising announcement about its viewing data. Normally quiet on the subject, this week it published detailed viewership numbers for the first time. Its site Top 10 on Netflix, will release a weekly top 10 chart of the most-watched TV and films in English and non-English languages.
Will this move pressure other streaming platforms to release their viewing data, and will it influence the viewing choices of Netflix subscribers?
Until next week!

There is political drama in Minecraft's Dream SMP and over 1 million people tuned in to watch live!
At Rerun, we are a big fan of storytelling, so we were delighted when we found out about this Minecraft roleplay that takes place on Twitch. The Dream SMP (survival multiplayer server) creates mostly improvisational plots for their millions of subscribers. They even have dedicated wikis created by fans for storylines like Politicians of Gaming, the Second Pet War and Doomsday War!
