Happy Friday!
Our top pick this week is an article from Forbes about why live streaming is the next big trend in beauty. The article features many examples of brands who are already reaping the benefits of live stream shopping - Estée Lauder sales increased by a whopping 60% over its first-quarter, partially due to consumer engagement with live-streaming.
It is no wonder that the live-streaming market in the U.S. is expected to reach $25 billion by 2023!
Also this week, Spanish movie distributor A Contracorriente Films has launched a virtual cinema service on OTT platforms. The new TVOD service Sala Virtual de Cine is aimed at moviegoers unable to visit the cinema, due to the pandemic.
Joining the world of AR this week, is the social media giant Pinterest. It recently launched its virtual make-up visualization tool on its mobile app in the US. The âTry Onâ feature enables users to try-on different lipstick shades from brands such as Sephora, EstĂ©e Lauder, LancĂŽme, and Urban Decay.
Also this week Axonista - the home of Rerun, is hiring! đ
We have a number of open roles in project management, finance, engineering and design. If you are interested in joining a company building the future of video commerce, please check out our careers page.
Until next week!
