Happy Friday!
Team Rerun had an awesome - and busy - week ๐
We had lots of fun attending the TVOT LIVE! online conference and the show's 17th Annual Awards for Leadership in Interactive and Multiplatform Television, and .... we won! ๐
Together with our partners at Fashion Relief, we won the award for Corporate Leadership in the Coronavirus Era for our collaboration that saw our shoppable video platform brought into action to transform Fashion Reliefโs usual celebrity-filled annual fashion show into a weekly online event that helped them to not miss a beat and continue to raise vital funds for the Oxfam Ireland charity. We are delighted to be recognised by TVOT, alongside market leading innovators such as Vizio, Peacock, TikTok, and Disney+.
Congrats to the very hardworking and creative Tracy Swedlow of TVOT for bringing some of the amazing TVOT experience to our screens. We loved it, and look forward to attending again in person soon!
Our Top Pick this week is an insightful look at the video-first future of ecommerce, a trend that venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz has been following closely, with a particular eye on the monetization of short form video in Asia.
This trend is only likely to continue, as the pandemic may have accelerated the shift to e-commerce by 5 years.
Until next week!

How a massive bomb came together in Beirutโs port
And Finally...
The New York Times delivers another compelling interactive story, this time of the events that led up to the recent devastating explosion in Beirut. Their ability to weave video, text, research and graphics together in a way that's informative, easy to follow, and respects the pace of the reader, is a lesson in great, timeless interactive storytelling.
Hat tip to Rerun reader Emily Ross for sharing this one with us.
