Interact Lab at the University of Sussex has created a three-dimensional display that moves and can recreate the sounds and a sense of touch of the objects it shows.
At this point the tech is basic but the idea that our digital creations could take form, mass and move in a space that we can interact with is astonishing. The tech uses ultrasonic waves to suspend and rapidly propel particles. These "acoustic tweezer" can even produce sound from the objects it creates.
