Top Pick
Snapchat and NFL team up in a deal to bring football into Live Stories
Snapchat has landed a one-year deal to bring NFL content—including the Super Bowl—into its Live Stories feature. Money-wise it's an ad-revenue share deal, and a trial run earlier in the year was viewed by nearly 15 million people.
Why is this cool? Snapchat is massive with younger generations, and it's quickly becoming home to some of the most unique and entertaining content around. Think of Live Stories like an organic TV show, where people tag their photo and video messages with a local event, and Snapchat curate the clips by hand into a longer reel that lasts 24 hours.
Given the community-led feel of Live Stories we can see great potential in this deal, both for bringing NFL Match Day atmosphere to viewers all over the world, and as a sign of future industry deals to come.
