PlayStation marks International Women’s Day 2019 with PS4 theme
Happy #IWD2019 to all our readers !
Our Top Pick this week is from Sony which has released a beautifully illustrated PS4 theme to celebrate International Women's Day.
The theme celebrates some of Playstation's leading female video game characters.
In it, there are noble warriors, hardened survivors, wise healers, morally ambiguous spies, optimistic adventurers, and selfless superheroes. Importantly there are women with complexity and depth, and we're delighted to see them celebrated in this way.

In what appears to be a remarkable pivot, and change of heart for Facebook to 'what users want', Mark Zuckerberg is going all in on privacy, and one-to-one communications for the future strategy of the company. Interestingly, the word advertising is only mentioned twice, compared to the word privacy, which is mentioned 26 times in all.
There are also some hints about the upcoming consolidation and interoperability of its suite of messaging apps Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Do users want that?
