NBCUniversal streamer Peacock is bringing the iconic 1980s arcade game Frogger to life with a new 13 x 60-minute competition series, to be produced by Eureka Productions (Holey Moley) in partnership with Konami Cross Media NY.
Frogger will feature 12 obstacle courses or “crossings,” where contestants will dodge traffic, leap over alligators and hop over hippos to conquer the course and win a cash prize.
Since its introduction by Konami in 1981, the video game franchise has grown its library to span more than 30 titles across various platforms.
Chris Culvenor and Paul Franklin will executive produce for Eureka Productions. The Frogger competition show is an original format created by Culvenor, founder of Eureka.
