This week saw the announcement of Apple TV+ streaming service details, undercutting the market at $4.99 a month. It comes free for a year when you buy one of their newest devices. This is a pretty strong bid to gain market share.
Just in time for IBC, this week Disney+ launched a free trial of its service exclusively in the Netherlands.
Netflix has done a wonderful job of educating the streaming market, and flooding the world with a glut of high quality content. Over the next 12 months, the consumers will be the ones to decide who comes out on top. Now that most streaming services have a comparably high quality user experience, it may come down to brand authenticity, and storytelling.
